2020 was marked by an atypical and transcendental milestone that came to change the way of doing business: the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the fact that this event brought with it great challenges, it also allowed us to see what we are made of, and to discover that we have the strength to sustain ourselves in the midst of adversity and come out stronger.

Our first great achievement in this period was that, despite the country's economic outlook, we ended the year with no reductions in our staff; And not only this, but we also generate new sources of employment thanks to the opening of the El Viejo Free Trade Zone.

In addition to the above, the pandemic allowed us to become even more aware of the need to generate alternative businesses to the production of cane and the sale of sugar and, for this reason, we celebrated the inauguration of Vocatus, our alcohol-producing distillery that we hope, in the future. nearby, produce rum made with organic cane.
